Software
Drawbridge
Users get permission fatigue as it's unclear how an application will use the data provided and the risks and benefits only come after granting. OS permission systems typically grant an open, ambient Network permission, so any accessible data can immediately be exfiltrated. Drawbridge aims to provide a permission mechanism for applications which moves permissions from the OS - App layer to App - Network layer. Apps can ambiently access data but attempting to move any data to an outside system becomes significantly harder. Apps would opt into this system by declaring RPC schemas compatible with Drawbridge. It then monitors for compliance and swaps data in as necessary. The set of acceptable fields in a network request are greatly reduced (and arbitrary data completely disallowed) and may have other privacy mitigations applied, eg. location fuzzed to a large bounding box, content must be addressed in a non unique way through IPFS, or data sent to a contact must be E2E encrypted with a key provisioned by drawbridge.
Link 2 Link
Drawing inspiration from semantic web concepts like semantic triples, this is a web spec which allows a website to declare relationships between two other URIs, even if they do not control either of the other two URIs. Some example relationships would be: discussion, context, alternatives to, endorsements, review, etc. This system would allow third parties to annotate and provide additional context to even walled garden sites. An extension would then allow viewing these outgoing links when visiting a website. Users and indexers would use the reputation of the link provider (inferred via endorsements) to determine whether or not to display outgoing links to fight spam.
Playdate GM Buddy
This would be a tool to generate and store NPCs, locations, and other entities from the Playdate, using the crank to quickly cycle through options and generations. A small DSL would allow GMs create nested and branching generations, eg. if an NPC gets a trait of being a merchant, then also generate a list of merchandise.
Mitosis Social Network
Social networks go through phase shifts as they grow in size, with people often bemoaning groups which have grown too large to effectively moderate or make personal connections. By examining the level of activity in a social network, the mitosis network would find an acceptable moment to partition the community into two or more 'right sized' groups. This could also happen slowly and somewhat transparently to users as content from within their future group partition is earmarked and made more visible.
